Doesn’t time fly? It’s already 1 month passed 2015… I had audition and much work, I can say this is good start of 2015, but still I need to take time to think about myself. I have to live one day at a time!
Feb 1, is my birthday, I’ve got aged.
I was thinking what I’m gonna write down in this month, but it’s unusual for me, I have no idea what I should tell this time, so I just looking back my early life.
ーーーーーーーーーーーーー I was born in Japan, NIIGATA city, 1985, Feb 1.
When I was kids, elementary student, I’ve been take a class of KENDO(Japanese fencing), Calligraphy. I inspired one famous Comic, I stated to play Basketball. But my school have not Basketball club, so I started to play soccer. Also I like to skate using Rollerblades, skiing, especially video games. I absorbed in video games. Pokemon, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy…
After graduated elementary school, I joined the JUDO (modern Japanese martial art) club. But just a month… After that, Finally I could join Basket Ball club. I love my school days, play basketball,also card game, called Magic The Gathering.
I spent time in game arcade too. When I turned to senior, the coach of Basket ball club changed. He tried to our club more stronger, that mean less enjoyment of club. I still love Basketball, But I really hate to go club. So I turned into paper members. I experienced first setback.
But that made me to awoke to study. I didn’t study at all until then, But 1 year dedicated to study, I could enter high-performing school for me. I joined a Basketball club again, but the school is strong, so I still struggle to myself. But I felt if I’m not good at Basketball skills, everybody underestimate me as a human, so that made me to quit the club 1 year. But still love to Basketball. A lunch break I always do Basketball with eating my lunch before the midday break(HAYABEN). I experienced second setback.
I entered university as a second-choice university. I couldn’t passed the university’s exam where I really wanted to go. But the coincidence was change my life. I was working a live-in system as a delivery newspaper. I wake up 2 AM 6 days in a week and after work, I was going to school and club activity. When I enter the university, I thought I want to do something what I can do only my body. The beginning, I visited taekwondo club, but the place is next to dance gymnasium. And when I saw the taekwondo club, one dance club member talked to me ”do you want to come to see dance club?” that was my first meet to DANCE. Everything surprised for me, so I decided to join the modern dance club. (contemporary dance) My first dance stage was JAZZ dance. Until then, I couldn’t be a regular member as a Basketball club, junior high, and high school. But the moment I dance the stage, I feel I am a regular member as a part of this team.
4 years my university life is DANCE. I can say only DANCE. from morning till night, dance dance dance. Dance was everything for me.
After graduated university, I had been working as a restaurant manager for 3 years. I couldn’t get time to practice dance at all. But I learned a lot from this company. Communication, Marketing, What is business like… But my passion for dance came again, so I quit job and decide to go US to challenge my life.
ーーーーーーーーーーーーー Again,,, so long sentences,,, haha. But again thank you, thank you I can still dancing in New York City. I am soooooooo lucky to meet Dance. It’s literally dance change my life.
What is essential is invisible to the eye.
In Basketball, if you can’t into basket, it’s incorrect.
In Soccer, if you can’t get a goal, it’s incorrect.
But Dancing is nothing correct, either incorrect.
Move you hand to left, or slap, or stop, or even not move anything, there is not correctness and wrongness.
That is our life itself.
Dancing is our life itself.
If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which we have imagined, we will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.
What is important in life is life, and not the result of life.
What is essential is invisible to the eye.
